All in all, it was an enjoyable read, and the revelations at the end tied up the whole "Prince Catchers" series. There were times when I wanted to shake them both, and I had trouble believing in Taliesin's reasons for continuing to stay away from Eleanor. Each of them believes that their love is unrequited. Now, years later, he and Eleanor reunite on a mission to find her birth family. He left home as a very young man and made his own fortune. Although Taliesin is not really the step-son of the house, he has been mentored since childhood by Eleanor's adoptive father, who employs him as a servant and lets him sleep in the barn (his chores include emptying ashes from the hearth). Imagine a male Cinderella who falls in love with his eldest step-sister. Although it may not have been intentional (and the book is not marketed this way), this is a twisted Cinderella story. From USA Today bestselling author Katharine Ashe comes a stunning new historical romance series of seduction and. This wasn't my favorite book in the series, but Katharine Ashe always gives me something interesting to think about in her novels. In the first instalment of her new Devil's Duke series, Katharine Ashe dazzles with her lush and eloquent prose and THE ROGUE features the most wonderful male protagonist in all of her books.
